Excellent place for cheese lovers

If you want a slice of the authentic dutch vibe on the countryside related to cheese, this is the spot. The place is amazing. It's a cheese factory which offers also tours sometimes. The cheese selection is divine and so tasty and fresh. All is made there by old methods. The old lady who serves is a jewel. You feel very welcomed from the moment you enter. The atmosphere of the small shop is very cozy and warm. You can taste between verious types of cheese before buying. For the cheese lovers, there you can find anything you want. We highly recommend it!

    Lovely cheese
Our waitress at the De Arendshoeve told us about this farm where they make gouda cheese. When we arrived we were shown a video showing how they make the cheese and the history of this particular dairy. Then we were shown where they make the cheese and the different stages in the process. Our guide spoke excellent English. After the tour we went into the shop where we were given samples of their cheese and of course we bought some!

Best Gouda cheese in the world
We have been visiting Holland for years and always stop at this farm to buy authentic unpasteurised Gouda at real farm prices, to take back to the UK - and we live near Cheddar!. Always great cheese, and you can choose different maturities and strengths. They also do some novelty cheeses e.g. cumin, truffle etc. but I'd much rather just have the fabulous flavour of a farm Gouda cheese. You can also go and see the production process, and be amazed that one extended family can produce so much good cheese, right there at the farm.
