Historic channel linking Delft to Schipluiden and Vlaardingen
The Gaag channel between Schipluiden and Den Hoorn was dug in the 13th century. It served to connect Delft with the coast. Nowadays it is the central body of water in the picturesque village of Schipluiden and used by vessels of all kinds to/from Vlaardingen connected by the Vlaardingervaart.
