Boskoop's landmark
You can see this 35m high lift bridge from far away. Dating from the mid 1930s it is part of the improved Gouwe waterway between Rotterdam and Amsterdam. It must have been quite spectacular sight at the time, because of its technological wonders and it still is. Cycling from Rotterdam to Amsterdam through the green heart of Holland you will come across this bridge. In case the bridge is open you can follow a beautiful bicycle path along the west side off the Gouwe towards Alphen.aan de Rijn, thus avoiding waiting time.
