Great

Really interesting and beautiful place that is certainly worth a visit. Even though Archeon is a great place for kids we visited as adults and had a great time and found it to be very interesting. It's particularly nice how everything is open and you can really touch and interact with the exhibitions. If you have the Museumkaart or just fancy doing something different when in the Netherlands I would highly reccomend a visit!

A Great Place To Visit With An 11 Year-old
It is easy to forget when we are traveling abroad with children that they have other interests than adults have. For example, they like to be with other kids! Archeon is a child oriented, activity-based facility where kids can learn and interact with each other, have a great time and spend their time well. And, parents and grandparents can also enjoy the time that they spend with them. If you are looking for a university-level experience for your youngster, this probably won't do the trick, but it is academically pretty solid, staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and it is fun for everyone. I won't say much for the pizza, though, and the gladiator show was pretty verbal, most of which was lost on non-Dutch speaking folks like ourselves.

    Nice family visit
We visited here as a family of 4 with boys aged 9 & 12 using our Museumkaarts. We spent about 3 hours there and all enjoyed it. The downsides for us were the presentations were all in Dutch (but lots of signage and a guidebook in English) and we paid for activity card but the activities were all too young for our kids so I definitely wouldn’t bother if your kids are over 8. We saw lots of younger kids enjoying them though. We all enjoyed the gladiator show the most. Parking is expensive as are snacks/ cold drinks.
