4.5 (4.919 reviews) Spent More than 3 hours Ranking #16 in Coastal South Carolina Beaches

Highly recommend dunes village resort in North Myrtle Beach.

Create unforgettable memories while enjoying 60-miles of wide, soft sandy beach. Be sure to bring your beach towels, a sheet and/or beach chairs before you get here so you don't have to rent them. Wake up early in the morning, run along the ocean shore and take in the fresh air. It's good for your body, mind and soul! Want to sleep in? Grab a chair, sit down, let your toes sink into the soft sand and just relax in the afternoon while listening to waves rolling in.

    Life at Myrtle Beach
Walking the board walk front streets during the day. You have many places to see and do. Walking along the beach at the shore line just enough to get your feet wet at night. Listening to the night music as you walk along the beach. No one judges your body size or what you wear. At night street cars ride up and down the front street to show off there cars with fancy lights on them and the loud music they play. No worries there is a curfew time for that so it does last all night. People there are not in a rush. They wait for you to walk across the road without yelling or horn honking at you to quickly get across the road.

    Myrtle Beach in March
We visited in early March, when the local marathon was held. It was definitely off-season, which made it a very pleasant experience- uncrowded, pleasant temps and every franchise on the plant is represented here, with easy access to most of them; as well as lots of local merchants. The beach is nice, well kept and clean, but not as wide as some, and there is a mix of sand and shell. I would not venture here in the summer season, as it must be nearly impossible to navigate, park and fight the crowds. It is also difficult to reach via the main Highway (501), which is overcrowded and under construction.
