Amazing dolphin swim experience!

Treat yourself to an amazing experience swimming with the local dolphins of Coffin Bay. This latest tour from Sunset Charters is definitely one for the bucket list. Under the command of Captain Kalo and hosted by crew member Mekeyle, both locals, they share their abundant knowledge of the beautiful waterway of Coffin Bay and its unique inhabitants. The wetsuits are so warm, hoods and socks also provided with the added bonus of hot showers between sessions in the water, you will definitely not be cold no matter the weather. Top quality mask and snorkels enable perfect viewing of the majestic dolphins whilst the crew members call out the direction to look in as the dolphins twirl curiously and show jump right in front of your face! The swim net is comfortable and very secure, I felt extremely safe at all times. I can see this immersive nature tour being the highlight of water activities in Coffin Bay for years to come.

    Sailing Coffin Bay with Seafood
We were met at 9 am at the boat by Kalo, the owner, Master Mariner & Captain, ably assisted by Bec. The boat is a beautiful catamaran, in absolutely pristine condition. After a succinct, well pitched safety briefing, and an overview of our planned cruise, we set off under twin engines out into the bay to hoist the mainsail. Once under sail, the serenity and beauty of our surroundings became increasingly evident. Kalo and Bec provided excellent commentary on geography, geology, history and flora and fauna. Amongst our sitings was a bull sealion sunning onshore, but the highlight was a group of young fur seals that showed their natural curiosity as we sailed by, jumping in to the water and following us, porpoising as they went at amazing speed. As graceful as the dolphin we encountered later on. The beautiful white beaches, massive dunes and clear blue waters were just magnificent. Kalo manoeuvred the boat superbly, maximising the experience with a smooth ride, positioning for the best vantage points. The views from the rear deck were great, but standing on the foredeck was even better. On the return journey, we were treated to a substantial seafood platter, with ultra fresh local produce beautifully prepared and presented. The beverage list was excellent, and made us dream of what the sunset cruise would be like, sipping on lovely wine. A cruise par excellence!

Awesome day of action and relaxin
We went on the Sunset charters dolphin cruise this week. Wow! What a great day out on a beautiful boat. Kalo, Emma and the rest of the crew, did a great job of making us feel so comfortable. Yes, the water was chilly, but with wetsuits and hoods they supply you stay toasty warm. Was unreal to hang in the front of the net and watch the dolphins swim around as the boat cruised along. For the keen ones, it’s extra fun if you’re hanging off the rope on the back of the boat. Food and drinks on the way there and back were awesome. I reckon is the best Rueben sandwich and spicy Mexican wrap I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommended these guys for a great day out of action and relaxin! 5 stars.
