Take the opportunity to see the river in flood!
We travelled from Adelaide to check out the Murray River in flood (at it's peak) and booked a river cruise with Renmark River Cruises. Despite the temperature hovering in the high 30's our tour run by Dan was very comfortable and informative. We started from the Woolshed Brewery at Murtho and travelled through areas that are normally only accessible via kayaks (Amazon Creek etc), however, the flood event enabled us to travel through a vast wetland area that is usually dry. Once back on the main river we then checked out the stunning Heading Cliffs before returning to Murtho. A must do trip while the river is in flood!

Sunset cruise
Tour guide Matt collected us from the Big4 Caravan Park, a small boat, able to take about 10-12 passengers. A 2 hour trip up and down the river. Viewing magnificent cliffs. We also pre -ordered a share nibble box, which was really good eating, with a glass of red. The sunset was magnificent, with lots of very colourful photos. A very good trip, even though we had heavy rain. We were lucky enough to have the best seats on the boat, with side screens in that area. Thank you Matt.

Brilliant short cruise
Being picked up from the Big 4 Caravan Park really set the tone for the evening. Matt happily collected us there rather than in Renmark itself. A pleasant cruise upstream with Matt’s running commentary about the river and Renmark went very quickly. An interesting “Jackaroo “ box of savoury goodies including kangaroo salami was enjoyed while watching a brilliant sunset. A very enjoyable and entertaining cruise. Thanks Matt.
