    Outstanding Customer Service
Have been on many houseboats in both Mannum & Mildura. Found Kia Marina to be both informative and absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we understand everything the boat had to offer. The Instructions were concise and very clear. I found the level of cleanliness on the boat to be outstanding. I have been on other boats in the past and was not happy with the level of cleanliness. The spa was amazing size and loved the open plan and huge entertainment areas. Had the most amazing views from the top deck. We enjoyed our Business Owners Retreat and will definitely be using this amazing company for our next one later in the year. Thank you Kia Marina for the outstanding customer service you gave to us and the other business owners that needed a well deserved break. Commend you on your professionalism and attention to detail. Well done, will be in contact soon. :)

Beware of booking in current climate
We booked the houseboat "Eclipse" through Kia Marina for a 4 night mid-week trip along the Murray River. Half way through, the SA Govt put the state into a 6 day Covid lockdown, commencing midnight Wednesday. We had to either return immediately to Younghusband or, as the company offered, stay on the boat for the 6 days (an extra 4 nights). The latter option was not possible: a) We didn’t have enough food b) One passenger had a medical condition that required equipment and she didn’t have enough for that much extra time c) We wouldn’t have had enough fuel So we travelled all day and got back 6:30 pm on Wed. Subsequently, when asked what recompense we could get for having lost $1600 of the trip, we were offered an additional 2 free nights, but only if we booked another 4 night trip. We consider this to be unsatisfactory: a) It was spending even more money to recoup the loss, and even though we were given a year, booking ahead is still risky b) We were not so enamoured with the condition of the boat that we wanted to spend another 6 days on it. It has spacious, luxe living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms are okay but the boat is in need of significant upgrading and maintenance. It was an unfortunate situation but we consider that the loss should be shared, not just be our loss. Kia Marina said they were surprised we didn’t accept either offer because other people had been happy. Well we weren’t and all other companies we had bookings with last year either refunded in full or split the loss. And the owners threatened us with legal action for “deformation” if we published a review. Given that defamation (presume that’s what they meant!) is making false claims about a company, and everything we have stated here is true, their response is hardly good customer service. Hence we cannot recommend the Eclipse, or Kia Marina.
