Worth a visit

One of the most interesting churches in Sofia. Built in the 10th century, it has been demolished several times. The modern church was built in the early 20th century after a terrorist attack almost completely destroyed the building.

must see cathedral, los of history
This cathedral is linked to some of the most tragic events in modern Bulgarian history. Communist terrorists blew it up in 1925 killing almost 200 people inside. It is a monument of the communist evil that plagued this country for most of 20th century.

    Beautiful Church
Catedral de Sveta-Nedelya was built in the 10th century. Destroyed in 1925 when they tried to assassinate the ruler at that time. He was late arriving for the funeral service for one of his generals and therefore, saved from the explosion. Beautiful church inside. Catedral built on the Square of Tolerance where you can view Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, and Christian churches all coexisting within a few blocks.
