Not to be missed
After two days in the City where we already visited the main attractions without a guide we took the free tour in the evening. A lot of people showed up before the court but there were couple of guides available two split into around 20 participants. Yoan was our guide and the next 2 hours were very informative, which gave us a good overview of Sofia’s and Bulgarians rich history. The mixture between sad and funny stories kept us all engaged and even our children found it very interesting. Thanks Yoan for this tour and keep it up

Excellent experience
Our English speaking guide was Vasil and he was incredible. One of the smartest and wittiest tour guides I’ve had the pleasure of having. He was there at the tour meeting point 10-15 mins before the start time (when I arrived) and I immediately felt very comfortable. Vasil is friendly, highly knowledgeable and articulate, possessing the rare ability to speak to audiences of a wide variety of backgrounds. He never gave simple answers to complex questions but instead painted both sides of the story and let us decide for ourselves (for example, whether communism was a benefit or disadvantage to Bulgaria.) Highly recommend! 10/10!! Management if you’re reading this please provide an electronic way to tip. Not all of us have the luxury of changing to local cash in advance of the tour.

Incredible Tours
I have done all of their tours, The Free Walking Tour (English & in Spanish) Communist, and Jewish tour in Sofia and the Free walking tour in Plovdiv and I'd highly recommend it. The guides are wonderfully kind and informative ready and willing to answer any questions you can tell they are passionate about sharing their city and history with others. I currently live in Sofia, which is why I've done them all and always recommend them to any visitors we have. Quick side note the Communist tour is paid, the others are all free and as I mentioned above they are all incredible and informative.
