    Well preserved UNESCO site
Spent over 4 hours here walking and seeing the well preserved temples. Large site and lots of walking required. Parking easy and museum very interesting as well. Fortunately since it was a very warm day, plenty of drinking fountains and toilets were available and a cafe to have lunch. When we were done, tried to see gardens but they were charging an extra 5 euros per person so we declined.

    Beautifully well-preserved ancient ruins
We had initially intended to park in the east (because of the recommendations we had read online being that the east car park is closer to the more well-preserved and complete ruins), but by mistake ended up at the west car park. We were pleasantly surprised to see that there were no lines and it was a very quick process to get in. We were initially hesitant and pressurised to buy ‘skip the queue’ tickets online but we were glad we didn’t and ended up having the flexibility of choosing when we wanted to go when we arrived anyway. It was very easy to navigate once inside the park as the ruins are essentially aligned as a straight line between the west and east car parks. When we reached the opposite end of the park we took the taxi which cost £3 per head back to our car park to avoid walking through the park again in the scorching heat. We read online to avoid visiting between 12-3pm due to the intense Sicilian summer heat and we would say that this was the best advice and to bring plenty of water!
