Just take it easy and enjoy the sights

I am not a small person so I just took it nice and easy. Stop on the seats provided and look at the views, beautiful. Continue on through the fishing village to Haoshang Bridge, the prettiest bridge I have ever seen.

    Take advantage visiting temples
As you're visiting temples which are very near the door for the journey through the stairs facing the cliff. Behind the great head, there are some incredible views and do not need to do the entire route of the cliff especially if these bad knees, because both up and down outdoor exercise can exhaust you and the other only has to look out to the terrace gives to the cliff. Better impossible.

    Be afraid
The cliff road is a bit of a daunting, nerve wracking experience, but if you want to see the buddha up close, it's pretty much the only option. It starts at the buddha's head and descends all the way down to the feet. The crowd control at the top can be very exhausting (at peak times they operate a "Disneyland" style system of queuing and even then, what starts off as a 4/5 abreast stairway soon becomes single file; something the Chinese just can't tolerate. Be prepared to be pushed, shoved and trampled on, just when you are fearing for your life in the first place. The Chinese simply cannot wait for anyone and HAVE to be first. You will be standing still and being jostled for quite long periods. Once the line sorts itself out and the single file begins, the descent can be quite daunting. Anyone with any heights/vertigo issues etc could never manage it. Lots of photo ops on the way down. Alas, once you get down, the exit means you have to cross to the other side and climb all the way back up again, although the 'up' stairs are wider and less scary, albeit with 0 views of anything.
