A beautiful part of Armenia! Find the gorge just south of Mets Sepasar.
We visited the Akhurian River Gorge just south of Mets Sepasar, Armenia. There is an old bridge along the Krasar-Mets Sepasar Road and a dirt road turn-off just south of that bridge. You can follow that dirt road into the gorge. We drove in about a mile and found a nice place to sit around sunset. It was beautiful! There was a lot more water in the river than I anticipated. Watch your footing because you would be swept away by the current. I did not give a 5 star because along the river you will find pipe infrastructure (I think water pipes, but maybe natural gas) which detract from the natural beauty. Still, this is a very pretty part of Armenia and I highly recommend you check out it.
