Confuious practiced his way and educated many. He was born in 551 BC and lived until 479 BC. The temple is a holy space dedicated to his life and teachings. Beautiful facilities and gardens.

    Expansive
    I recommend getting the 3 day ticket to visit the many historic sites in Pingyao. This temple was expansive, with many beautiful structures and gardens. We walked around for an hour, and it was like a journey back in time, very atmospheric and beautiful

    Nice looking buildings, but you can't enter the exhibit halls
    This is a nice looking temple. It's recommended if you haven't gone to a Confucius temple before. Unfortunately, you can't enter most of the exhibit halls. You can only look over a cloth barrier. There are no lights on inside the halls, so it's very hard to see the displays. Another person mentioned free performances, but there weren't any on the day I went there.
