Riverside Promenade (Bingjiang Da Dao), Shanghai Region, China
4.5 (1.392 reviews) Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #11 in Shanghai Scenic Walking Areas
Great View
The riverside walk along the Bund may be busy and crowded during the day, but with good reason - it's simply a must when in Shanghai for people-watching and getting a good feel for the city.

Great View
This promenade is the other side of Huangpu where the Bund Promenade is located. You get a view of the Bund from the other side of the river. It's good for taking a stroll and dining places are everywhere. It is also near the convention and exhibit halls of Pudong and walking distance to Superbrand Mall.

The forgotten bund
This riverside, the opposite side of the Huangpu river directly opposite to its sister the Bund at Puxi.,is usually given the miss by tourists. Nevertheless if one could reach here it could even rival that of the Bund with a strong positive too., that is minus the disturbing crowd. It makes a good place to capture videos and photo shoots minus the sea of human heads. The breeze and air quality even seems to be better at this area.Ships sailing from this angle even look slower and tranquil. The colonial row of old buildings at the Bund looks elegant and glorious.,testamount as to why Shanghai was a major shipping hub even in the 18 th century.A smart row of fast food and cafes like the Hooters,Starbucks,Haagen Das etclined this stretch of promenade. Its close proximity to the high rises like SWFC,JinMao Tower and Oriental Pearl Tower plus some good shopping at the huge Superbrand mall with some nice restaurants in it makes this place even more attractive.Close to the underwater tunnel and the metro makes it so easily assesible.A place good for relaxing or even a yoga practice in this bustling city where a little privacy is hard to come by nowadays.
