Modern, electric street filled with shops, eateries, and lovely restaurants tucked away up above the street level. Some can be tricky to find but are worth the effort.

    Shopping street in downtown Shanghai
    Strolling along the street of Nanjing road with many shops and restaurants where new generations of Shanghainese gathers after hours. From boba tea to Chinese styled kebabs, you can easily enjoy all in one street. Recommended at night time, lighting is very instagrammable. And some restaurants opens till 2 am. Tips: Smoking is common Shanghai. if you are allergic or with children, recommended to bring a mask.

    Old China Town
    We went here in December 2019. It is winter but the weather is still torerable. Nice walking through some old China Town building. Restaurant with Chinese cuisine is along the way. Some shops sell souvenirs, snacks. Be careful with watch sellers. They are quite persistent, pushy selling their stuff. Just walk away although they will sometimes follow you. Ignore it. Just for intro, Chinese sellers can be very intimidating, but stick to your gun.
