Splendid information on the Chinese wine-making culture

I was surprised to learn that the wine cellars here were built in 1894. The post information is displayed in Chinese and English. We enjoyed the wine tasting.

    Ironic
Ironically, I've been to Yantai many times, and have had this wine with my wife's family, have stayed in hotels very near by, walked past the museum a few times, and even purchased the brand back home in NYC, but never made it into the actual museum. So how about the wine? Not bad! Sweet and balanced. I never thought of having a decent bottle of wine from Yantai, but it's really worth a taste, and perhaps a visit to the museum if you happen to be in the area. As a side note, if you're in the mood and have time, try to visit the nearby city of Qingdao, which is famous for it's world class beer. Cheers!

    Worth it!
With entrance fee paid, you will get a free bottle of red wine with your photo attach. Besides, you would also invite to have a short lesson on how to choose the good wine to suit to the specific dish...Overall, an interesting Museum. Worth to visit!
