Nice island in Yantai
Visited Yantai in September and my friends drove to Yangma Island. Quite a few nice tourist spots with wonderful view. Very relaxing but nowhere really decent for coffee. Better bring your own water/drinks and just enjoy the view.

Go if you have plenty of time
You can take bus 61 from Yantai Railway Station heading east. And change to bus 617 at Muping outside NewMart Shopping Mall. The whole journey takes 2 hours one way (2 Yuen), so only one there when you have plenty of time to kill. There are a lot of opportunities to hike in the Island. There isn’t much residue of Horse Raising Evidence left there as the name of the island said itself. You will be approached by many taxi/local tour guide using their cars to take up their guided tour. I didn’t do. Be prepare for long walk in the island because there isn’t any other way besides scenic bus (18yuen) and those private tour guide. The island itself is nice and relatively clean to Chinese Standard. I was there in May, not sure if it’s low season but not many place to eat and souvenirs store aren’t open, so prepare enough snack and water (don’t forget sun screen).
