This was the first spot we stopped at on our private tour of Shandong. Enjoyed a relaxing stroll along the oceanfront promenade even on a summer day. It just felt nice with the sea breeze and nicely designed piers. A pleasant visit indeed.

    Great location to relax
    Stayed one night in the Intercontinental Qingdao next door and took the opportunity to explore the area in the evening and early morning - definitely a great location to relax and to explore

    Good for a stroll, but not much to do
    We have been staying close to the Olympic Sailing Center in the Intercontinental Hotel, so we walked here occasionally. It's sometimes a bit crowded, and there is not much one can do, besides looking at the sailing boats. We walked here on an summer afternoon, and there is no shade - it can be pretty hot. The area is good though for a run - during early morning hours. One can run for many kilometers along the shoreline, which is quite refreshing.
