The last of the real city wall of Jinan and real artefacts from the liberation
The first city to be liberated by the People's Army was Jinan, the wall leading up to the pavilion is actually real, soldiers at that time had to scale up to the top to fight the Kuomintang. Inside the pavilion you will see a red and white flag (chaper/regiment 1, chapter/regiment 2), the white was for those volunteers who chose to give their lives to ensure victory i.e. the first ones to try to scale the wall and armd with close combat weapons, those who volunteers under the red flag were those who came after the white. You will also see several weapons used in the liberation, a document by Chairman Mao explaining how the liberation should be strategised and several othe artefacts from that time. This is really worth a visit.

View from the top is quite nice
After we visited Heihu Spring , we went there. The very from the top are quite spectacular and we were told this was the last remaining the old city wall of Jinan
