Quaint, Beautiful
I was really looking forward to visiting Bukchon since I always see this in Kdrama and it did not disappoint. My best friend and I had a great time taking pictures around every corner especially in front of the classic Hanoks with its amazing architecture. We even had tea and rice cake in one of the houses which was also used as a cafe by the owner. Our travel was in 2018.

Nice but expected more
I was slightly underwhelmed with this. It lacked character like traditional villages I have seen. The setting was stunning as were the houses. Very pretty. Clean and nice to walk around. Suggest early morning as it is quiet and perfect for photography. It just lacked atmosphere and felt lifeless and isolated. It was nice and yes I would recommend going. I didn't spend too long. Be quiet when walking around. You need to talk in whispers as residents do live there and we need to be respectful of this.
