Humarock Beach, Massachusetts, United States

4.5 (12 reviews) Spent Ranking #4 in Scituate Beaches

How I Spent My Summer Vacation....

Great walking beach, mostly private - so not over-crowded. With the ocean on one side and South river on the other - this is a unique locations where you can see sunrises and sunsets over water! Just amazing!

    Walking on the sand
Humarock beach is one of Scituate's better beaches. In the summer it is used for bathing mostly and in the colder months walkers use it with their dogs or for exercise, and lone walkers enjoy the solitude for reflection. During the summer there is a Scituate parking lot around the corner if you have a valid sticker. Otherwise the parking is tough but there are two hour spots in the vicinity. The public beach is relatively small but walking along near the water is generally acceptable to the neighbors. Head south and you can walk for miles. Head north a you'll walk maybe a mile before you're stopped by the ocean entrance of the North river.

    Has everything you need nearby
Expect to pay $15 for parking. The walk to the cliff area was cool. Very few shells the day we went. Yesteryear arcade, carousel, fried food and gift shop across street. Clean restrooms also.
