Big Store with a couple of activities.
So, it wasn't as disappointing as some of the others mentioned but I think I was more prepared going in. First off, it's basically a big store in a mall. It is coupled with 1) a very small ride comparable to a fair ride that goes in a circle and up and down, 2) a ride maybe a step above Dave and Busters where you drive around and shoot at things (and didn't seem to work great), 3) a tiny play area smaller than most playgrounds or indoor play areas, 4) some impressive large-scale lego sculptures, and 5) a couple of lego stations. There is also a movie but we did not go to that. So, there's a little mix of activities but it is $25 a person so a little underwhelming for that. There's no way if you were staying in Chicago as a tourit you should make the drive all the way out here for this. No way. However, we are staying on the west side, we had a couple of hours to kill, my kid likes legos, and so it was ok. He had fun for like an hour and a half (again just like other inside play areas). It was overwhelmingly ok.

Cute but small and overpriced!
We took our 4, 5, and 6 year old in Oct 2011 and we had a decent time, however I was shocked at how small it was for the price of admission. Walk up prices are close to $20 per person, which would be $100 for the 5 of us, they have advance tickets online for $10 per person, but you have to pick your date and time of arrival. The Lego Statues are nice but not terribly impressive. The "Jungle" area took us 60 seconds to go through. There were 2 rides which were just OK. The big highlight of the night was the 4D theater. It was a 10min long 3D movie with added affects of wind, rain, and even snow! The kids loved that. The place is best for young kids, 8years old or younger, Overall it is worth a peak if you can find discounts and have reasonable expectations. We stayed about 2.5 hours and were able to see everything.
