Nudeltastic!

Who knew Nudels could be so much fun! So many shapes and types and a very proud place with a history of making them! The tour is all in German and difficult if you are not fluent but going about and watching them made and seeing how it is all done is amazing for adults to see where food comes from today and the technology behind it and for kids simply amazing to see and play with food.

    Interesting place to visit
We were in Riesa for a dance competition and went as a group to have lunch, visit the museum and buy some noodles. Fun visit. Museum is in German so if you don’t speak the language you won’t get as much out of it. Restaurant was yummy and the store was fun. There isn’t much to do in Riesa so if you happen to be here, this is a good place to spend a couple of hours for lunch.

    Meh
Dropped out after the 15 min corporate advertising video they make you watch before the tour, the whole experience was just too tacky. Ok, they are proud of making their noodles, and of their recent entry into "Asian Style" wavy block form noodles. Painfully awkward video statements of the founder family sealed the deal. If you've really got nothing else to do (like sit by the river for 2 hours and read a book) by all means do go - or better yet, check out the small noodle museum with the artifacts of the pre-war and East German factory life - that stuff is interesting. But the video+tour, I'd just skip it. Unless you're really, really into, well, noodles.
