Great looking water tower
The tower was built in 1558 by. It was used to supply the city with drinking water from the Spree. In 1597 a second pumping station was installed to meet the increasing demand for water. In 1606 the construction of the New Water Tower began for the same reason. The tower was made of stone and was seven-storey, 47 m high. The top also served as part of the city fortifications. In 1965 the water tower was shut down and now serves as a technical museum.

Old water tank
All Bautzen is very nice, particuary Old town with the medieval fortification, there are several stone towers, some of the kept water inside, supplying the city with fresh water in the time of dry seasons.
