Half day dolphin trip

Hans and Bento were great. Super helpful, knowledgeable and they really know their way around. We took the half day dolphin and whale trip with some snorkelling on the reef. Despite rough seas we had a great trip, very comfortable and saw the lot. They also know the smooth way home inside the reef. A ‘must do trip’

    Mauritius Adventure
If you want to see some of the wondeful sights that Mauritius has to offer then a boat trip with Lifestyle Boating is for you. The morning started with a visit to see the largest pod of dolphins we had ever seen and for the opportunity to swim with them in the open ocean. Then back into the lagoon to snorkel on the coral reef before returning home sipping a cool drink whilst we enjoyed the marvellous Mauritian coastline with its backdrop of majestic mountains. A memorable morning in the company of our knowledgeable and helpful guides Janik and Emanuelle. Well done Lifestyle Boating.

Great dolphin viewing and snorkeling trip
We took a half day boat tour with Lifestyle Boating booked through our hotel (Shanti Maurice). They picked us up at the hotel at 7.30am and then drove us 20 minutes to the boat launch. They then took us out through the reef and then around the island to Tamarin Bay and Black River where the a pod of 40-50 dolphins were hanging out each morning. This morning was no exception, and we got right up close to the dolphins and then donned masks and snorkel and swam with the dolphins. We were swimming right in the middle of the pod; 1-2 feet from the dolphins. It was a very unique experience! As we had the boat for ourselves the crew quickly picked us up and dropped us near the dolphins multiple times so we got a lot of swim time in. After the dolphin swim, where it seemed we could hang out as long as we wanted, they took us to the coral reef in front of the Paradise Hotel where we swam around and explored the corals and the marine life there. Again, they were in absolute no hurry to leave and we had all the time we wanted. On the boat they serves us drinks (water, beer, rum & coke) and chips. We were back at our hotel around 1pm. The crew was super helpful and friendly all around. We thought it was a little bit expensive (10000 MUR) at first, but the ease of booking it through our hotel made us cave, but after the trip we thought it was well worth it to have the boat to ourselves as opposed to be 2 out of a group on a giant catamaran. We could decide on timing ourselves, and we got magnitudes more time with the dolphins than any of the other groups that were there.
