The Best..
It’s been voted best in Indian Ocean several times and it shows. Challenging course. Bear in mind that trolleys can be rented as well - as they will rightly protect the course after heavier bouts of rain. And walking the course in the heat/humidity is additionally challenging

Excellent course and facilities in every respect.
We have been playing Le Chateau Golf Course since 2013 whilst we have been staying at Le Telfair (with the exception of the Covid years). The course is a challenge for most golfers and requires more course management than you may think. The Par 3's are all particularly challenging and require the correct club selection. Holes 4 and 17 are particularly difficult. For the long hitters there are risk and reward holes but if you think your way around you can score well. The greens are quite 'grainy' so you need to take some care and many break far more than they may look. Holes 3 and 4 are particularly difficult. The golf course is always very well maintained with nicely raked bunkers. The sand is quite heavy especially if wet. The Club House (overlooking the final green) has a good selection of wines and beers and the food is always good with snacks or meals. The staff are always very friendly, courteous and friendly. Clean and well serviced restrooms. Driving range. Helpful and courteous staff in the Proshop and clothing, though whilst expensive, is very good quality and some really nice colours and designs. Caddymaster and his staff take care of your cart and clubs. You can leave them at the store or take them to your room when using the shuttle bus to either Awali or Le Telfair. All in all the course deserves to be No. 1 in the Indian Ocean and even if you don't play well you can still enjoy the experience. Depending on your package golf and carts plus drinks may be included.
