Excellent exhibition this summer

Pori Art Museum has been famous for its modern and contemporary art exhibitions for over three decades. The basic collection belonging to the Maire Gullichsen Art Foundation contains mainly Finnish art from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day. The museum shows only temporary exhibitions focusing on the new phenomena of the visual arts.

    Very interesting modern exhibitions
    Museum is small in size. Handy for visits. You do not need more than 60 minutes of time. Place is never crouded. Exhibitions are modern and I find them well done. Curator is good and has obviously good connection in art scene.

    Great Café
    The Pori Art Museum is quite small but it has some interesting art and it is situated on a beautiful river. They have a great café with some delicious local food, as well as a nice book selection in the gift shop.
