Unexpected visit of/near a nuclear site
I was driving on the road to Olkiluoto to have a glimpse of the nuclear site and it's "EPR". Suddenly, a barrier, grid and control booth reminds you that you are entering a special area. A dedicated visitor center is open ALL THE YEAR, even on Christmas, Juhanus, ... and until 8:00 PM ! The visitor center is nice, modern and very informative. You have the opportunity to see and touch mockup of fuel rods, or even full canister used for final disposal. Eveything is available in Finnish and English. Live feed cameras from the central are displayed. Transparency and public safety awareness seems to be the key.

Unexpected visit
Were driving towards Kristiinankaupunki and suddenly there were signs of Olkiluoto Visitor center; well what the heck, there was time for a visit so we did. There is plenty of information about the nuclear plant and stuff so I guess that especially children would like this place. There is also a short pathway outdoors with a view to the power plant.
