Bourgeois house of the 19th century in Rauma !
Marela Museum house is part of a 3 museum bundle with your 8€ ticket (or free with Museum Card). The house was probably the largest and most luxurious house in Rauma at the end of the 19th century. The owner was a prosperous owner of commerce shipping in Rauma, with several boats sailing far south from Finland. The city has purchased the house in the second part of the 20th century to refurbish it to the original or inspired to archives about the house and the life in the 19th century.

City museum - shipowner´s house
The Marela shipowner´s house is a well restored document of a wealthy family´s home a couple of hundred years ago - although the original interior pieces have disappeared. The interiors document the life and circumstances and the original ceiling, door arch and other structures show early crfatmanship.
