Very interesting shopping center in an old cotton mill and even an own coffee roastery
Kauppakeskus Puuvilla (literally Shopping Center Cotton, also known as Porin Puuvilla) is very interesting. It is situated in an old cotton mill. The architecture is extremely unique. Old brick buildings of the factory and new architecture are combined very well. There are about 60 shops or cafeteria-restaurants in Kauppakeskus Puuvilla nowadays. I especially loved Cafe Solo Kahvila-Paahtimo Puuvilla (Porin Paahtimo). They have an own coffee roastery and always fresh coffee.

Eco-Friendly Shopping mall, biggest in Pori town
Old factory building renewed to a mall. Using 90 ground warming wells and over 2 200 solar panels the mall is very ecological. There is warmed parking hall which comes in handy for winter-time. Different opportunities to have a meal - traditional or a bit ethnic or just fast food. Kids playing center (with a fee) available. Mostly sports gear and clothes but also a grocery store and alcohhol selling point (they are monopolized in Finland for driks stronger than 4,7%)
