Good write-ups on the history of Sibu and Sarawak

At first look from the outside, the museum did not look too impressive. But after visiting it, I have learned a lot about the history of Sibu and Sarawak through the write-ups at the various sections. They are available in English, Chinese and Malay. Free admission. Photo and video taking are not allowed.

    Local Handicrafts
    This is the place to get your one stop local handicrafts when in Sibu. Lot's of interesting local souvenirs and reasonably priced. Take your time to browse... however note that the place is quite cramp. Otherwise good for a visit

    Sibu Heritage Centre
    Formally is the Sibu Municipal Council Office.Now transformed to town's museum due to less of parking spaces and towards upgrading public services. At the ground floor, you can purchase some local hand-making souvenirs and household utensils produced by bumiputera ethnic groups .
