This museum is a must visit if you want to understand Aruba
This museum is a must visit if you want to understand Aruba. The drive to the museum starts to show the different sides of the island's history and the museum is informative and fun. Don't skip the personal side of Aruba on the top floor, listening to the conversation between people who lived through the changes is eye opening. Best of all, ask questions. Nyohmi was our guide and made our visit fantastic. She knew so much about the island and how it changed we stayed an extra 30 mins just talking to her. She searched the archives and found old pictures from the 1940's to provide more details when answering questions. This is a wonderful place to visit.

A Must to Learn About Aruba
This museum really opened our eyes. We expected to be here only 1/2 hour based on the size but ended up staying almost 2 hours! The staff was incredibly friendly and guided us through the exhibits explaining each section in great detail. We went with a native Aruban who even said that they learned more about the history of Aruba here than they ever did in school on the island. While small, the museum really maximizes its space and tells the island’s story from pre-habitation to the early days of tourism on the island. If you want to learn more about Aruba and what makes up Aruban culture this museum is a must.
