The Best shop in the WORLD!!?
This shop has everything!! You can spend 10 cents or $10,000!!! It's up to you! Great place to bring friends. Great for kids. Great for beads. Great price for jewelry. They cannot be beat. You will love this store and it's a heck of a lot more fun than the stupid outlet mall. When you're done walk down to the river and get in!! Parking is tough but worth it!!!

What Happened?!?!?!
Oh, Paper Bear! What happened to you? Once upon a time, the Paper Bear occupied several hundred square feet of real estate with a magical toy room in the back. Now, it is but a shadow of its former self, reduced to a fraction of the giant little shop with a little bit of everything. Don't get me wrong— they still carry a fantastic assortment of unusual flotsam and jetsam, but just less of it. And it still smells the same (NOT bad, just distinct!). We still bought a truckload of stuff we didn't need because that's what we do at the Paper Beat, but I was sad to see it so small. It's totally worth the trip off the interstate because it's a quirky little San Marcos landmark. When you're in town, drop in a grab a tshirt or a piece of jewelry or a toy or some quirky little tchotchke that you never knew you needed. Shop the Mom and Pop!
