It was lit!
I loved paddling out at sunset, the water is the prettiest, clear water to see! The boats were not only lit up, but see through, so you could see fish and everything underneath! Our tour guide Nate was wonderful. He was a geology major and was so insightful, gave us history of the river, river facts and tips on wildlife. I only wish I had brought some glow sticks for bracelets to jazz up my pictures. He even took great pictures for us. I loved it and would recommend to anyone!

10/10
Paddle SMTX was a great time. You were able to choose the color you wanted to glow under the kayak and the river was beautiful! There was even an outdoor concert going on at the same time so we had music playing the whole way. Cayden was our guide and he was really great, at one point my brothers kayak got stuck and Cayden went and pulled him out of the trees. 10/10 experience and I highly recommend to anyone visiting San Marcos

Unique nature experience for all ages
The visual effect of the LEDs on the kayaks is as cool as it looks in photos. Our guide Nate was super cordial and knowledgeable about the river and San Marcos. My crew was 6 deep so we took up 3 boats. The kids, us parents, and even grandma enjoyed the tour. We took the "sunset tour" at 8:15 which was cool because roughly half of the tour was still daylight and the second half was really, really dark (aside from the LEDs. I was glad I brought a water jug in my kayak because you are technically exercising, albeit light to moderate. If I go again, I would bring my own small flashlight as there were a couple times I accidentally paddled into grass once it got dark. Also, I wish I wouldn't of left my phone in my car so I had more pics of the experience. I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep it dry, but it would of been fine. The guides will take group pics for you with their own phone and send to you afterwards.
