Nice short promenade

This restored 19th-century esplanade is the place to begin your stroll through Old San Juan, because of its central location and its inexhaustible charm.

    Gardens and statues
This is a very pretty traffic free area lined with ornamental gardens and historic buildings, with an impressive fountain at the end of the road. There's a lovely view out over the water near the fountain. We found several statues in the garden area including this one of the 'Bird Lady'

    Nice
We loved the area, the birds singing, the breeze. There are many activities, typical food, souvenirs, chairs for relaxation. We walked all the way to the end to the Morro Fortress and we enjoyed the walk. Plenty people with small children. I saw many pelicans and many birds in the area. There were young people with musical instruments singing at night and everyone enjoying their talent. I enjoyed the place
