Puerto Rico's rich nature - enjoy and support
Our family of 4 (kids aged 8 and 12 yrs) had a great hike in El Yunque with a knowledgeable, fun, responsive guide. We had heard about this organization and how important it was to book in advance (which we did not do! You SHOULD do it.. to get the kind of trip you want). We signed up for the ONLY trip with availability during our stay and we were delighted by the nature, what we learned from our guide (he spotted lots of stick bugs, fun plants, coqui frog, explained lots about history and ecology. They were a little flexible on the stated age requirement regarding our younger child. Para La Naturaleza is an important organization to support for their protection of Puerto Rico's biodiverse, rich natural spaces. Highly recommended.

Wonderful night-time walk in the rainforest
We did an English-language night hike in El Yunque with them. Tremendous experience. We say and heard half a dozen frog species, and learned about all the coquis in Puerto Rico. The fireflies were magical, and the frog calls so loud, and we had the park to ourselves as it is generally closed after dark. And we saw some bats, too. Great organization and I wish we had done more with them.
