Fantastic Light Show!
We visited San Antonio Botanical Gardens during its holiday Lightscape program. It was absolutely stunning! The lights were amazing and very different from display to display. Our favorite was Sea of Lights and Blebonnets, but everything was amazing. There is a $25.00 admission price but the cost of admission is well worth it.

A very pleasant way to spend a day
We ended up here after a somewhat shorter than expected time at an “immersive art experience”-wanting to spend the rest of our day trip to San Antonio doing something we hadn’t done before. We hit on “Rooted” at the SA Botanical Garden. If you had told me I would have enjoyed walking around outside in July in 100 degree heat, I might not have believed you. But we all did! It was very expansive garden with lots of different sections to see and more was in bloom than expected for this time of year. And of course we liked looking at the greenhouse offerings of cacti and orchids. It was a comfortable walk and we stopped often- in shade- to tame in the view and the green smells. We also stopped into Jardin for a drink & some small bites. We wished we were hungrier because the offerings looked very nice. It wasn’t crowded. We didn’t feel rushed as the open hours take advantage of the daylight. We would definitely come back here again!
