This was an ornate church surrounded by the Riverwalk mall. Unusual setting but glad it resisted the efforts to replace it with shops. It’s been around since the 1800s and was the 4th Catholic Church in the city. It was open to all and we had the opportunity to look inside without interrupting any mass. I liked the holy water automated dispenser found at the front of the church. Definitely a good choice even as COVID-19 protocols have relaxed. Above the front of the church was a large organ that would have been nice to hear playing. Altar was quite ornate and appealing when contemplating or worshipping. Lots of beautiful stained glass windows and paintings and statues. See more..
