Gorgeous huge house!
Stopped here after a kids' event at the Speedway. It's a private residence and you can't park anywhere along the street to take pics (I just waited until traffic cleared to take some of my pics). It's a beautiful house with a nice sized fenced in yard and 2 extra buildings in the back. Wish I could tour the buildings.

Truly magnificent mansion!
One of the highlights of driving on Michigan Ave in Saline is to get a glimpse of the ornate Davenport House. Alas, it is privately owned and not open to the public, as I would love to see it up close and tour the interior. According to the plaque outside, the house dates to 1875. This Second Empire-style house is two-and-a-half-stories high with amazing decorative details and a mansard roof. The exterior paint colors (greens and contrasting trims) are exquisite. What a beauty!!
