River Bay revisited.
Some years ago, from the age of 15 until about 22 I would go camping at River Bay every Easter holiday. There would be about 60 young men in 8 tents. We would dig a huge pit over which we would erect a wooden structure with 6 holes cut in it and surrounded by canvas for privacy. That was our community toilet. We would run a hose from the nearby stand pipe into an angle iron structure to which we would attach six shower nozzles and surround it with canvas. That was our bath. We would hike to the Animal Flower Cave and to North Point Surf Resort. Those were the beautiful days before the invasion of cell phones and Social media.

Amazing scenery!
River Bay is an amazing place to be! You can climb one of the cliffs and enjoy a breathtaking scenery - rough sea on one side of the cliff and calm river bay on the other! Chill, enjoy the view, have a picnic or just go for a walk, but it is definitely worth it going here.
