Wily ole sugar factory guide
I found this attraction by chance on google maps as it doesn't seem to be listed anywhere else in the plethora of literature available for all the other stuff to do in Barbados i.e get drunk on a Catamaran... Excellent opportunity to see a working sugar factory 'if you haven't seen one before', interesting and informative tour by the wily ole factory tour guide who obviously has a tenuous grasp on inflation. Previous posts on here put the price at 10 Barbadian pp last month. We rocked up first thing in the morning and he took 50 Barbadian off me for 2 people. Non pretentious and a real piece of history, worth visiting. Just ask the old guy where the price list is before you take the tour!!

Museum was closed
We were out walking when we came across the sign for the museum, as we walked down the lane there was a man standing by the gates asking if we had come for a tour. We said we had come to visit the museum, but were told it was closed for refurbishment. We found a seat had a drink, took a look round at the abandoned machinery and left as there appeared to be nothing happened. The few men we saw on site were waiting for the sugar canes to arrive so that they could be processed. It would have been helpful if there was a notice at the entrance to say the museum was closed.
