Simply the Best...In Person and In Shipment

With a history that dates back to 1863, Yates Grist Mill opened its doors beside the rapidly flowing waters of the 'then' Clinton-Kalamazoo Canal. By 1876, the Yates family installed a cider press into the existing water-powered process and began producing delicious Michigan cider. It then became known as Yates Cider Mill. Yates is one of the oldest, continually running businesses in Michigan. Come for a visit and be a part of what has made Yates Cider Mill a destination for generations.

    Good Cider
I'm 83 years old and I remember going to Yates on dirt roads as a 10-year-old in my uncles' old dodge pickup. They had a working water wheel that was used to crush the apples. but after years of operation the gears became to expensive to replace. The water wheel still goes round but powers nothing. I took my children there, my grandchildren and now my great grand children. Hasen't changed much over the years. A little petting zoo and they added a fudge shop but the cider is still made the same way as it was when it was built!
