Swam with a whale!!

Booked through our hotel, got a taxi VERY early morning but definitely worth it. Unfortunately others getting on the boat were late so we set off after everyone else. Ended up seeing whales and swimming with them!! Unforgettable experience like no other, as I was by myself I was a little nervous about getting in the water (it’s v cold) and Miguel (one of the drivers) was happy to hold my hand which I am very grateful for. Then went and swam with dolphins just as amazing experience would definitely recommend this company!! :))

    nice day trip
We were picked up in Tamarin at the London Way super market and went on the speed boat. After a quick ride on the ocean we reached the place of the dolphins. We were together with 3-5 other boats with tourists that went to swim with the dolphins. We spend over one with this and it was a great experience. I never had the feeling that dolphins got "chased" or "hunted". It was a natural following of their swim route. We all enjoyed this. After that we went to a different place for snorkelling. This was "OK"... not too many different types of fishes - but OK. Then they took us to Benetiers island, with a quick round around the Crystal rock. On the island they prepared lunch. During that time, we could explore the beach. For lunch they had chicken, fish, sausages and baguette. Lunch was "OK" - nothing special but not bad. At around 2 pm we reached back to the beach in Tamarin. Overall nice day trip - clearly the highlight are the dolphins. The rest is "nice to have"

    Mixed feelings about this
Saturday 30th September and we were on Adrien's Dream Tour which we booked through the Thomson Rep at our hotel, RIU Le Morne. The Tour commenced from Flic En Flac. One of the elements of the Tour was a visit near Tamarin Bay to see dolphins swimming. We did see a large number of dolphins, predominantly the spinner variety, one or two were leaping up from the sea and splashing back into the sea. Our boat did circle around seeking out the dolphins, there were a large number of other boats and catamarans circling around. There were a number of people snorkeling in the waters. While appreciated seeing these magnificent animals, it felt like they were being hearded and corralled up for the benefit of the tourists. However, on a positive note, on our return journey to Flic En Flac we did come across a large number of dolphins leaping out of the sea, it was a joy to see. As we were the only boat in the area it seemed less invasive, in fact it appeared some of the dolphins were playing with the boat swimming up to it and under it.
