"interesting"
A nice place to get an up- front view of the Detroit River. A fishing pier, parking lot, and children's area are included. A former light house occupied the site. Clean & well maintained.

Music festival!
Balancer park hosted a music festival this past month. Me and my family had the opportunity to go and enjoy the music and the food! It happens every year and the public needs to know this.

A little bit of green in a very industrial area.
I headed to Belanger Park because I wanted to get some pictures of the lighthouse there. The drive to it from the main road isn't great. I'm not sure if the neighborhood the park is in is bad or not, but it isn't a very visually pleasing drive to it. Once you get to the drive that goes back to it, you have to cross some terrible railroad tracks. I was in my little car, so I was zig-zagging around trying to miss the huge holes and gaps in the tracks. Once I made it to the park, it was fine. The lighthouse isn't very big, but it was in good shape and there were a few other items on display around it. There were a handful of people fishing. All around the park and even across the river is urban industrial wasteland, so a little green is a good thing.
