Magic place!!
The lake and boat Tour are a must to do. The lake is connected to lake naivesha due to high water Level for some years now. Although Flamingos vanished a phantastisch range of birds can be observed. From eagle to pelican. Dead trees in the lake and several Families of hippos make it a magic place!! Monkeys giraffes Zebra etc can be spotted on the land. Ask for Steven to hire the boat. Awesome Boat Ride
We were given a complimentary boat ride ticket by Kongoni Resort where we were staying. We met a gentleman called Davie who was very professional all through the ride. He was able to handle the afternoon waves that were quite high and take us through the length and breadth of the Lake up to where it joins Lake Naivahsa (a consequence of recent rains and floods).

Hidden gem in Naivasha region
Lot of tourists does not visit the Lake Oloidien. There are three lakes in the region: Lake Naivasha, Lake Oloidien and Lake Crater. You could see a lot of birds in the region and have the boat ride.
