Must do

The hotel offered boat rides on the lake, however our guide took us directly down there and we paid the boat people directly. Was amazing to get out on the water and see the hippos and the large amount of different birds. Even saw some giraffe eating on the banks. We spent quite a bit of time on the water, always felt safe and was provided with great information about the animals and the area. Totally a must do!

    Tranquility
An early morning boat trip on Lake Navasha is beautiful. The water was calm and the birds were ready for breakfast. Our guide had fish and he called to the Fish Eagle, then threw the fish into the water. Wow! The Eagle swooped from a very high tree and retrieved the fish right beside the boat. A spectacle to remember. A very enjoyable morning.

    plenty of bird life
We enjoyed an hours boat ride on this vast lake. We were fortunate to see hippos, and plenty of birds and across the lake on the Island other animals. The guide treated us to throwing a fish up in the air for the eagles to come and catch, which was a great experience. The only thing that let this down, was across the lake near where the animals were- plastic bottles in the water. Also a heron with a fishing net caught in its bill. Surely in order to keep this lake beautiful it shouldnt take much for the locals /guides to occasionally go round and collect the rubbish.
