Nice natural lake, home of birds and crocodiles.
It is a very interesting lake, there are a great variety of birds as well as crocodiles and hippos. Unfortunately the water level has risen a lot, and has caused many people to evacuate from hotels and houses on the beach, where the crocodiles now live. Nice boat tour with funny conductors (2-3 hours); you can see local people living in the islands, but the most interesting thing is the eagle hunting the fish a few meters from the boat. There is also a little snake park near the lake.

Birder's Paradise!
We stayed at Tumbili Cliffs Lodge perched on the banks above the lake and loved it. The area is teeming with birds. We went on an early morning boat ride that was enjoyed by all of us. We saw lots of different birds, hippos, crocs, and lizards, as well as fisherman, ladies washing along the banks, etc... Our ride was very reasonably priced and was booked through the lodge. Feeding the fish eagles was really cool! Our group was mixed with young children, teens and adults. We went a little over an hour. If you go too long the children get bored and the day gets hot.

Teeming with wild life
Well worth taking a boat ride here. Plenty of crocodliles, hippos and birds to see. Best early in the morning or late in the day as it very warm on the water. Make sure you negotiate strongly with regards to the price. Some operators will charge you 5 times the normal rate if they think they can get away with it.
