Lake Turkana Cultural Festival
This is an incredible place & an amazing festival to experience. The true craddle of human life! Although long & exhausting, best is to drive from Nairobi to truelly experience the incredible fauna & flora diversity of Norther Kenya: the landscape change drastically almost every 100km. And you really can then better appreciate a swim in the cool 10000 years old waters of lake Turkana. Prepare yourself for a complete mind & body cleansing...

Content exception - Condition Dismal
The content of the museum is the various artifacts of the tribes of Kenya, such as milk holder, spears, grain storing container, etc but the sad part is that these things are kept in a very dismal condition. the importance of these things will be know once the tribes have become extinct and that these things will not be available.

Okay Desert Museum
The desert museum is an interesting visit though it doesn't offer a lot more beyond the household artefacts of the neighboring tribes - though these are quite interesting to see and learn about. It's in a unique location though with a beautiful view of Lake Turkana. Once you are in Loiyangalani it makes sense to visit it given that its free of charge to get in.
