Trail to Fitness

Enjoy a bicycle ride on this flat asphalt tree lined trail that is paroled by the Macomb County Sheriffs department. It is an easy 7 mile trip from Armada to the city of Richmond. rest under a gazebo in Richmond. I believe the trail is 26 miles long total (I think it starts in Rochester,Michigan) Pit toilets are found along the way. People using the trail are usually friendly and abide by cycling rules ( ie. Passing on your left is spoken or they use of a bell) My wife and I rode the trail pretty much spring -fall. Cycling is low impact on your knees and fun:) Be wary of deer crossing the trail. Seeing a small family of deer is a bonus to me!!! but no fun to run into. There is a parking lot located in Armada and nothing has ever been tampered with.

    Wonderful ride!
The Macomb Orchard Trail is a great riding/walking venue. Peaceful surroundings, back to nature, birds, deer, wild turkey, even a coyote once in a while. Best in the area.

    nicely paved
At times it gets busy but overall it is a great place to ride. once you get east of Romeo start to watch for fallen items in the woods after storms. It is cleaned quickly when it happens.
